On November 8, General Secretary Xi Jinping and his delegation visited the Guangdong Innovation and Industrial Integration Showcase in Guangzhou. Numerous tech companies from the Greater Bay Area presented their latest products and core technologies. Among them, a domestic mid-sized triple-fold portable display screen stood out, featuring a 28-inch 4K resolution display — representing a significant milestone in foldable screen technology. Behind this breakthrough, the high-precision hinge module integrated into the triple-fold screen played a crucial role. Developed and manufactured by Smooth, this hinge module provides key support for the display and folding functionality.

As a core functional component of flexible displays, the hinge module directly determines the screen’s stability, durability, and user experience. Smooth’s custom-developed hinge for this triple-fold display features a multi-axis linkage mechanism, lightweight design, and high strength. The module supports over 300,000 folding cycles and is assembled from more than 500 precision components, enabling smooth, silent operation and free-angle positioning even during complex motions. 

Recognized as a National High-Tech Enterprise and a “Specialized, Refined, Unique & Innovative” (SRUI) Enterprise, Smooth focuses on the R&D, design, manufacturing, and application solutions of intelligent motion systems.
